Tiring week

We started sending Samuel to day care after his 2nd birthday. We drop him at the day care at 7:30am and pick him up around 6pm. Samuel was a good boy as he didn't cry for many days when we first started to send him to the day care. His适应能力蛮强的, thank God!

However, the only concern about sending our young ones to day care is they get sick very often. Samuel have been seeing doctor in weekly basis... He has not been feeling well since last week.

Everything started on Wednesday. Samuel's principal, Teacher Low called me in the morning about 11am. She said Samuel vomited that morning after milk and she suspected it was due to phlegm as he was coughing before he vomited. She said she would monitor him and call me again if there was anything. Then in the evening about 4pm, Samuel's teacher, Jessica called me again. She said Samuel vomited again. She asked us to bring him see doctor after school. David and I left office earlier that day. As we reached his nursery and about to bring him to our car, he vomited on David again. I was terrified when saw him threw out. It was just like the Merlion in S'pore.

We looked at the time and it was 5:30pm. The clinic was no open until 7pm. So we went home first. Samuel was hungry and he asked for food. So we tried to feed him some porridge. But he threw out before he finished the porridge. All, everything... We quickly rushed him to the clinic when the clock stroked 7. He threw out again in the car when we were on our way. Luckily we brought long a little pail, else David's car would be super smelly... Doctor said Samuel had stomach flu and a lot of "wind" in his stomach. He gave Samuel medicine to stop the vomiting and for the wind in his stomach. He asked us to give him food in small amount and try to give him probiotic. As Samuel could not eat or drink anything, include the medicine, so the doctor put the medicine to stop the vomit from Samuel's backside. He said we could try to feed him after 30mins.

When we reached home, Samuel said he wanted bread. He finished 1 slice of bread. Before he went to sleep, we gave him the medicine. Around 11pm, he asked for milk. Usually he has 6oz. But doc said just give him 2oz, but try give him more frequent. So I just gave him 2oz. Around 2am, he asked for milk again, but he vomited when he finished his milk. David and I had to wake up 2am to change our bed sheet. aaaa.... we were so worry and prayed that he would be fine by morning. Else he would need to be hospitalized.

Praised the Lord for Samuel stopped vomiting the next morning. David and I took 1 day leave to stay at home to take care of him. We were so happy to see him finished his porridge in the afternoon and he did not throw out.

Watching Daddy playing PS3...

At first we thought of let him stay at home for 2 days. But we had so much work to do in the office so we had no choice but sent him back to nursery on Friday and thank God he ate properly and no vomiting that day.

However, until today his appetite is still very poor. Maybe he scare he will vomit again so he refuses to eat. David and I have to think of all sort of tricks to make him eat. Pray that Samuel will recover soon and be a healthy boy.
