Shaping-Up

I first started taking Herbalife in May 2010. My starting weight at that time was 57kg. I heard from a lot of friends said that Herbalife is very effective in weight loss and I got myself a Start Now Pack from my friend. She is not a coach and she is just helping her friends to sell the product. So, I did not do any body analysis before I started taking the product and I just follow blindly her instruction on how to consume the product. I was so excited when I lost 4kg after 2 months but ever since after that, my weight never went down anymore. It was just stuck at the same number for 3 months, I got fed up and I gave up Herbalife. Eventually my weight started climbing up as I started eating without control and it went up to 58kg in Jul 2011.
I was so frustrated and when I found that I no longer could fit into clothes with XL size, I began to worry. In July 2011, I decided to give Herbalife another try. This time, I found myself a Herbalife Personal Wellness Coach and believe me, it does make a different.
My coach first helped me to do a body analysis. From the analysis, I got to know better what actually caused my over weight issue and she taught me how to consume the product base on my problems in order to achieve the maximum effect faster! With the coach guiding me, giving my advice and encouragements, I felt more confidence and motivated. I learnt a lot of things too. All the questions I had last time all answered, especially on why losing weight was so fast in the beginning and after a while the weight will not go down anymore?... hahaha... now I know why.... *wink* For the time being, I have lost 4kg!!

I am so glad that David is in this "weight loss" project with me this time and I am so shock to see his seriousness on this. Sometimes I try to "seduce" him to have satay or mee curry for dinner. He will look at me and with his serious tone he will say," No. I will have Herbalife shake." I am so proud of him and he is doing better than me!!
See David's tummy? He used to have BIG tummy and he always complained to me that he felt very bloated. We even brought him for ultra sound scan as we thought there were some sort of tumor growing inside that made the tummy so big... (-__-)"  Thank you to Herbalife, he has now reduced 6kg and we can see that his tummy's size reduced a lot too! Amazing!!
wohoo.... I feel so great and so much better now. More confidence and healthier. We are still working hard on the remaining extra kilos. We believe with Herbalife, we can do it!
So if you are interested to have a better, healthier and younger-looking appearance, please don't hesitate to message me. I can help you.
Will update again soon for our weigh loss progress. Stay tuned!

Dinner at Eastern & Oriental Hotel

This is a back dated post.

Last Monday, we went to Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Hotel for dinner buffet. Nope... it was not our wedding anniversary. David’s team won the 1st runner up in company’s “Continuous Improvement” competition and they got RM7000 as the prize. So, the team of engineers treats all the technicians to have a dinner buffet at E&O.

The food was so so only but the dessert was marvellous!! I had more dessert than other dishes.

Normal price is RM78++ per pax, but if you are paying with Citibank or HSBC bank credit card there will be a 15% discount for the total bill. For our Muslim friends, maybe can consider "buka puasa" here. :)

Lunch box for hubby

Got this Thermos lunch kit from Jusco member sales last week.
Normal price was around RM200+, after 20% discount it's only RM170+.

I have been reading a lot of mommies's blog where they prepare lunch box for their love ones every day, hoping that they can have healthy food every day. I agree that most of the outside food is very oily and too much MSG. And looking at hubby's cholesterol level, I'm a bit concern. Since I'm going to stop working soon, I hope I can prepare lunch box for hubby every day and eat more healthily.

Happy Mother's Day, Mommy dear...

We celebrated Mother's Day last week on 1 May when we went back to Kuching. My sister, Christine and her family also flew to Kuching for a short holiday due to Labor Day and the replacement holiday on Monday. It had been so long since all of us last gathered together and to celebrate Mother's Day together with Mummy.

Christine bought a cake and we ordered pizza for dinner that night.
The cute cute or not? It's a cheese cake and tasted good ... :)

We sang "世上只有妈妈好" together before we cut the cake. It was a fun evening.

Today is Mother's Day. So I wanna wish my Mommy dearest a very Happy Mother's Day and may you stay healthy and happy always. Love you, Mom.

2011 CNY in Penang

2011 was the 1st time we didn't go back to our hometown for Chinese New Year. We missed home very very much. Luckily we had lovely friends who came to celebrate the CNY with us. Friends coming over on the 1st day of CNY for visiting, BBQ on the 5th day and pot luck on the 9th day.

David took a day leave on New Year Eve, but I did not. Luckily my boss is a very kind man who let me went home earlier as I told him I needed to go back early to cook the reunion dinner. :p I left office around 2:30pm and dropped by McD to get 2 prosperity burger sets as David told me he had not had his lunch. I reached home about 3pm and David told me Samuel had diarrhea the moment I stepped into the house. All the near by clinics already close so we just went to a pharmacy to get a medicine for Samuel. I only started cooking around 6pm and had our simple reunion dinner around 7:30pm. Since there're only David and me so I just fried a plate of bee hoon and a slice of salmon for our New Year Eve dinner.

Our poor Samuel had diarrhea on the 1st and 2nd day of CNY. When the diarrhea stopped on the 3rd day of CNY, he started coughing, fever and running nose.... (@_@) haiz...~ David and I worried sick as there was no clinic opened during CNY but luckily we still got some medicine from last visit to the paed. So we gave Samuel those medicine until the 4th day of CNY only we brought him to see the doctor. Samuel's nursery was still closed on 7th Feb so I had to take 1 day leave to baby sit him at home. Thank God Samuel got better after taking the medicine and had enough rest at home.

We didn't go for visiting during CNY. Just some of our colleagues came to our house on the 1st day of CNY. Sad that we didn't take any photos for that... :(  On the 5th day of CNY, David's colleague, Johaan who's living in the same condo with us suggested to have a BBQ by the pool side. He also invited other colleagues from their department to join the BBQ and we had a great time during the BBQ.

On the 9th day of CNY, we had pot luck at our house. :)

Time flies. Today already the 12th day of CNY and CNY will end in another 3 more days. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my friends a very Happy Rabbit Year and "huat" aaaahhhh!!!

2011 Company's Annual Dinner

Attended the company's annual dinner on 22 Jan 2011.
It was held at Equatorial Hotel Penang. At first David and I were thinking of not going as no one to take care of Samuel. But in the end, David asked me to go for the dinner and he stayed at home to bb sit Samuel. I was so touched and glad to have such a good husband.... :) He asked me to go and have fun and not to worry about Samuel. I have full confidence on David as it was not the 1st time living Samuel with him.  He is a good and reliable bb sitter. :)

Janice, my colleague helped me with my hair do and I did the make up myself. I was so surprise as I never know that she is good in doing the hair. Janice came pick my up from my house around 4pm and we did our hair and make up at her house. We then left home to fetch another colleague before heading to the hotel which is at the island. mmm.... we arrived late... :p

3 of us sat at table No. 62, together with Janice's boss, another guy friend of us and other 3 more gents. Through out the whole event, on and off there would be table draw where there would be lucky draw prizes give to all the members at that table. We won a pair of ... er... something like towel for your to wear on your hands when holding on hot pots or pans.

~All of us with our lucky draw presents~

hm... tired and lazy with words. Let's see the nice photos. hehe....

~Beside the table draw, Janice also won another lucky draw. It's by our employee number. She got herself a one night stay at Equatorial Hotel Penang. What a lucky Mommy... :) Last year, both David and I won a set of Ikea pans and and an Ikea small side table. This year, none. My luck not that good.

~Please ignore that.... uncle next to Mas. He was from other table. This photo should be nice. But... he boomed the photo~

~And yes! We invited Ziana Zin as the artist presenting that night. Heard it cost the company RM18K for 5 songs~

~Other than the entertainment by the professional singer, also there are presentation from Silterrians. One of them is this... er... belly dancing I think~
~Last but not least, the best dress male and female, called the King and Queen of the night. And below are the photos of the female and male winner~

Ok... that's all.... It was a fun evening. The food was nice. Looking forward for next year's dinner. Hope David and I can attend together. :)

Tiring week

We started sending Samuel to day care after his 2nd birthday. We drop him at the day care at 7:30am and pick him up around 6pm. Samuel was a good boy as he didn't cry for many days when we first started to send him to the day care. His适应能力蛮强的, thank God!

However, the only concern about sending our young ones to day care is they get sick very often. Samuel have been seeing doctor in weekly basis... He has not been feeling well since last week.

Everything started on Wednesday. Samuel's principal, Teacher Low called me in the morning about 11am. She said Samuel vomited that morning after milk and she suspected it was due to phlegm as he was coughing before he vomited. She said she would monitor him and call me again if there was anything. Then in the evening about 4pm, Samuel's teacher, Jessica called me again. She said Samuel vomited again. She asked us to bring him see doctor after school. David and I left office earlier that day. As we reached his nursery and about to bring him to our car, he vomited on David again. I was terrified when saw him threw out. It was just like the Merlion in S'pore.

We looked at the time and it was 5:30pm. The clinic was no open until 7pm. So we went home first. Samuel was hungry and he asked for food. So we tried to feed him some porridge. But he threw out before he finished the porridge. All, everything... We quickly rushed him to the clinic when the clock stroked 7. He threw out again in the car when we were on our way. Luckily we brought long a little pail, else David's car would be super smelly... Doctor said Samuel had stomach flu and a lot of "wind" in his stomach. He gave Samuel medicine to stop the vomiting and for the wind in his stomach. He asked us to give him food in small amount and try to give him probiotic. As Samuel could not eat or drink anything, include the medicine, so the doctor put the medicine to stop the vomit from Samuel's backside. He said we could try to feed him after 30mins.

When we reached home, Samuel said he wanted bread. He finished 1 slice of bread. Before he went to sleep, we gave him the medicine. Around 11pm, he asked for milk. Usually he has 6oz. But doc said just give him 2oz, but try give him more frequent. So I just gave him 2oz. Around 2am, he asked for milk again, but he vomited when he finished his milk. David and I had to wake up 2am to change our bed sheet. aaaa.... we were so worry and prayed that he would be fine by morning. Else he would need to be hospitalized.

Praised the Lord for Samuel stopped vomiting the next morning. David and I took 1 day leave to stay at home to take care of him. We were so happy to see him finished his porridge in the afternoon and he did not throw out.

Samuel having his water while listening to the music using his Daddy's ear phone.

Watching Daddy playing PS3...

At first we thought of let him stay at home for 2 days. But we had so much work to do in the office so we had no choice but sent him back to nursery on Friday and thank God he ate properly and no vomiting that day.

However, until today his appetite is still very poor. Maybe he scare he will vomit again so he refuses to eat. David and I have to think of all sort of tricks to make him eat. Pray that Samuel will recover soon and be a healthy boy.
