Samuel's 1st solid food

Samuel is now 6 months old and he just started to take solid food. I am giving him rice cereal, mix with formula and warm water.
Previously Samuel was taking Snow Brand formula, now I am slowly changing over to Enfa. I'm still checking on Samuel to see whether he is suitable to take Enfa or not, as many babies who are taking Enfa have constipation problem. Anyway, different babies will have different reaction. It's quite difficult to find perfect formula for babies.

I tried to give Samuel rice cereal when he was 5 and a half months old that time, but he did not know how to swallow, so I stopped. Now, he has no problem swallowing and likes the rice cereal too... :)

妈咪,母亲节快乐!

This is my Mummy Dearest. She is the most wonderful woman in this world. She is very patient, loving, generous and supportive. She is very strict to all her children, but that is for their own good.
I remember when I was in secondary school, I always followed my Mom to the wet market, and the aunties
would said," Oh! Is that your daughter? Oh... you two look so alike!"
I think our smile look alike... :) And our eyes too.
My Mom got married to my dad when she was 23.
And they have 4 children, I'm the eldest.
My mom is a housewife, a Super Mom. She takes care of everything as my Dad's working outstation and seldome at home. When we were still schooling las time, she woke up as early as 5am everyday. She prepared wonderful breakfast for us, packed us the lunch box (so that we had something healthy to eat during the recess), drove us to school, cleaned the house, prepared lunch for us, picked us up from school, sent us to tuition classes, drove us to church... EVERYTHING!! She did EVERYTHING for us.

{馬太福音11:28}
将您的烦恼、重担和忧愁,交给天父吧!
妈妈,我爱您!祝您健康,靠主常常喜乐!

* 世上只有妈妈好,有妈的孩子像个宝,投进妈妈的怀抱,幸福享不了。*

Happy Birthday, 慈!

8 May... it's my sister, Christine's birthday.
Christine is 1 year younger than me, we're really close to each other. We used to sleep together on 1 queen size bed, since we were in primary school, until I left home to study in Malacca. Of cause we got arguments sometime, but we got over it very fast and got friend friend back really fast.
Sis, if I'm not mistaken, we never celebrated your birthday together until last year ooohh... You celebrated your happy birthday in S'pore last year, do you remember?
Sis, miss you so much! I wanna wish you a very happy birthday and may all your wishes come true. Love you! *kisses and hugs*

Samuel's first collection of books

We didn't go many places during our stay in KL last weekend, as we didn't stay there for long. We decided to drive back to Kulim on Saturday, so that Hubby could have 1 day rest at home before going to work on Monday. He was really exhausted after long driving hours.

So, we only went shopping at 1 Utama before we headed home. We went there on Friday and it took us 30 minutes to get a parking. We didn't buy anything for ourselves, but for Samuel. But we did get ourselves a scoop of Baskin Robin ice-cream and a strawberry milk shake! :)

My 舅母said, it's good to let babies to start looking books at early age. Don't let them watch TV too early, or else they will lose interest on reading books. I am quite concern about this as Samuel is really attracted to TV. So we grabbed some books for Samuel!

Happy reading, son! :)

Trip to KL

We went for a short vacation in KL last weekend, together with Jane, Michael & baby Serene . We went down to KL on Thursday, as we wanted to go to Singapore Embassy in KL to settle something. We started driving as early as 5am and stopped at Ipoh for breakfast for about 1 hour. Samuel slept soundly throughout the journey. He only woke up when he was hungry and went back to sleep after finishing his milk.

We reached KL around 11am. After we got the things done at the embassy, we headed to my 舅舅's (my mom's younger brother) house in Klang. My 舅舅 has 5 children, and I love hanging out with them. I enjoyed the stay at his house very much. Anyway, we reached 舅舅's house around 3pm (it took us about 3 hourse as hubby got lost on the way). In the evening, after I gave Samuel a bath and we had enough rest, we went for a walk around the housing area.
